the end of another year

I'll be done with my first year at RIT in about two weeks, and in about a month, I'll be starting my ass-kicking advertising, photojournalism and fine art classes for the summer. This year has been something else. I've grown so much as an artist and a storyteller, met amazing friends and somehow established a life here in Rochester. Summer is coming and it feels a little like home. Yesterday evening I took the bunny to the park and let her hop around the grass until dark (which was the most adorable thing on the planet), walked home and chatted with the neighbors, did laundry and homework.

I talked to William Snyder today about my course outlook for the next year, and he says I'm totally on track to graduate next May. Even though I've transferred colleges twice, I'm still finishing a year early. I feel so unprepared right now, but I know I'm going to learn and grow tons over the summer, and over the rest of the year. If I don't, then I won't make it. I'm kind of giving up on my French minor; I love the language and culture, but the advanced classes conflict with everything I have to take for PJ. I still have a concentration in it, but I'm going to take more classes in newswriting and communications.

I'm sitting in my video documentary class right now waiting for a video to export, and one of the girls called our class folder "WAZOWSKI FORGOT IT". I wanna watch Monsters Inc now. I love Pixar movies.

In other news, my landlord is letting me paint my room-- it's light green now, which makes photo editing really difficult, so I'm going for a warmish gray color. I think I also found a bike on craigslist, hopefully I can go get it tomorrow. I want to start riding again this summer. 10 miles a day is totally worth it.

Here's to hoping your lives are all less hectic than mine right now

Cheers,
Lindsey
