I found out this afternoon that I'm able to take the 3 summer elements classes, which will ultimately save me a year of school. They run Mon-Fri 8-5, June 7- August 13. So I get like a week off before I have to jump right into my advertising photo class. I think this is what I've been needing to really get me into working and learning as a photographer. It's kind of like an intensive workshop where you learn a ton and produce a great amount of work in a short period of time.
After that I have about 12 classes left until I can graduate, which I can easily do in a year. I'm seriously thinking of taking winter quarter off to do an internship or study abroad though, hopefully walking in the spring, and finishing the rest of my classes the following summer. I don't know. I'm going through this program really fast, and it's exciting to finally be getting close to my degree, but at the same time I want to stay long enough to learn as much as I can, and get more experience before I have to find a real job.
Anyway. This morning I went to shoot a video at the public market, which opens at 6 AM. I ended up walking 2 miles there in the rain at 5:30 in the morning, getting there to find hardly anyone at the market (but still pulled it off), and then walked home in the SNOW. Yeah, fucking snow.
