ambitions

So, I'm done with summer classes on August 13. I have a break until Labor Day. I've been wanting to do a long bike ride somewhere. I was thinking at first of going to New York City, but I really think I want to try to go to Montréal. I want to start training now, and if I could do 60-80 miles a day, I could get there in about 5 days. I'm going to have to do research about towns along the way that have hostels and things, and try to find a partner to ride with me, but I really want to do something like this. And then I can stay in Montréal for a few days and maybe take a train back, if I'm not feeling ambitious enough or don't have the time to ride the bike back. I have to figure out if my bike will even hold up on that distance too...
Other than that, I'm going into my last week of Ad photography class, and I've been enjoying it so far. We've been doing a fair amount of group projects, I've been in the studio every single day and shooting or editing until 11 PM most days. I'm probably going to have to quit my job because they're only giving me a pathetic 3 hours a week now. I just need to do something else. I'm trying to get my financial aid worked out a little better so I can actually eat this summer. But all in all, I'm just trying to focus on classes and not get overwhelmed with other stuff. I'm having fun and have made some new friends at RIT.
This is my new friend Joe, from Hawaii/California. We were workin' on 4x5 stuff together.
Look at that beautiful camera...
We went to the George Eastman House (like 1 mile from my house) and got to tour the archives and library there. Yes, those are original Adams, Steichen and Weston prints, not behind glass, right there for me to get two inches away from them and just stare at the detail. The prints were really beautiful, and all so different.

I got Lucy a little harness to go on walks in the park. She is such a little fat fat. The problem is that she seems to get nicer and more cuddly the more I feed her.
