Clothesline Festival

For one of my first assignments, I had to go photograph the Clothesline Festival here in Rochester. Basically, a bunch of local artists-- painters, photographers, sculptors, woodworkers, etc-- get together to display and sell their artwork. There's also singing, dancing, music, food, and all that good festival stuff.

^I think this is my favorite image from the day.

I'm always a little worried when I see little girls dressed up like this, but heck, I did ballet when I was 5 too.
One of the artists, who makes scarves and jewelry. The guy below is a potter.

And these little girls were working very intently with their clay and chalk.
It rained yesterday, and this morning was still very cloudy, but I got lucky and the light was just very soft and diffuse. The sun's just starting to come out, now that I'm ready to eat dinner and call it a day. I start training at Panera tomorrow and working on Thursday. Money's tight and things are stressful, but I'm trying to just keep plugging away.
