Goodbye Las Vegas

Some of the crap I get to carry on my back for three days:

My mom decided I needed tons of chocolatey foods for on the train. I also get to carry around my beastly DSLR, not pictured here as it was being used to take this picture.

I am so ready to be on that train, but for the first time ever, I'm actually a little nervous about traveling/moving. I'm a teensy bit worried that my landlord (as I've never met him) could actually be an axe murderer or a crackhead or something, but I really think all that will be fine. He seems nice and there's no REASON for me to be worried. However, I think the real issue at hand is finding a job in Rochester. I'm praying that the student employment office will be helpful, that I'm getting there before the rush of other poor students, and that it will work with my class schedule. I need to work about 20 hours a week to be able to pay my rent, and my mom really can't take on any more expenses so I've got to be able to do this on my own.

Agh. But one thing at a time. There has to be SOMEONE who will hire me in Rochester, and I'm willing to do pretty much anything. I just hope I can find something right away, because things are going to be really tight until then.

Anyway, to all of you who are heading back to school or work, I wish you the best in all your endeavours, and here's to hoping that I make it through the quarter in one piece.

Bonne chance.
