altered landscape

It's been a few days since I've posted-- I've been busy with a bunch of stuff and I still don't have stable internet at my house yet. The good news is that my financial aid came in and I can actually pay my bills and eat a little now. I can't wait to go to the store and spend a ton of money like a good American.
So we're working on this project called "man altered landscape". We went out to a few different state parks in the area and have been shooting this idea of nature being contained and commoditized by man.

I've also been hanging around the Erie Canal a lot lately. A couple weekends ago Joe and I rode our bikes along the canal trail to Brockport. I find it kind of interesting; the trail goes all the way from Albany to Lake Erie. I'd like to spend some time riding along the whole thing one day.
So now I'm just waiting for an hour to go by so I can recheck out the Pentax 645 camera, and I just dropped off a few rolls of 120 film from yesterday. I'm actually finding this blog a little hard to keep up with right now, as I've been shooting more film than anything, but haven't had a chance to scan any of it yet. I'll have to get on that soon.

The other night I also went out to Palmyra, NY and photographed the Hill Cumorah pageant, which is put on every year by the Mormon church. I'll try to do another post later today with some of those photos.

Cheers,
Lindsey
